"Nothin' comes close to the golden coast" ~Katy Perry

Last week we headed to the Golden Coast for an extended weekend to visit grandparents. While there, we packed a lunch and made a stop at the beach, of course. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop the kids from getting in the water. H took a few rolls in the water and didn't think anything of it. J, me, Louie, and Kathy mostly tried to soak in the sun and read, but Louie did manage to get his kite going and I joined the kids in the sand-castle building. We also tried to enjoy being outside as much as possible--we ate outside, we went to the park, I bought the kids bubbles and a kick ball (and then Mister spent some time climbing trees to retrieve the kick ball). It was a fun and relaxing weekend away.

LOVE the beach, and it looks like you had a fabulous time!

In your other post you mentioned that you went through one can of sunscreen last week, and I'm glad you said that, because I realized that in a couple of weeks, I really need to go stock up. :)
